ECG and blood pressure monitor

ECG (Electrocardiography)

An ECG machine measures the electrical activity within the heart. It can be particularly useful when investigating cases of heart murmurs or arrhythmia. We also monitor animals under anaesthetic with an ECG machine to ensure we can identify any problems with the heart quickly to allow us to treat it.

Blood Pressure Monitor

Blood pressure measurements are required when there are concerns regarding the patients heart or blood vessels.  It is also important to monitor the blood pressure in older animals and those with other diseases such as kidney or thyroid problems. Your vet will advise you if a blood pressure check would be appropriate for your pet.

We have both an ECG machine and blood pressure monitor at both of our branches so they are always available when needed.
